5410 BISHOP WAY GROSSMONT SUMMIT LA MESA - We just completed this project . A previous client wants to extend their driveway so they have more room for their cars. Having done some work for them before, they decided to give us a call. They have chosen to have paver bricks as what they will extend the driveway with.

5410 BISHOP WAY GROSSMONT SUMMIT LA MESA - We poured the perimeter curb for the driveway and have filled the area with the base material that will get the bricks. The purpose of the curb is to secure the bricks once they have been laid. In this image we are compacting the base material with a plate compacter.

5410 BISHOP WAY GROSSMONT SUMMIT LA MESA - In this image we are laying the perimeter brick in the curb we poured. This gives the border a nice edge and gives us the elavation for when we screed the base material.

5410 BISHOP WAY GROSSMONT SUMMIT LA MESA - We have started laying the paver bricks. The pavers are the "Sky Ranch" Antique Cobble from RCP BLOCK AND BRICK. The bricks will be laid in what is called an "I Pattern".

5410 BISHOP WAY GROSSMONT SUMMIT LA MESA - All the paver bricks have been laid and now we are spreading the joint sand into the brick joints. This is done by sweeping the sand and using a plate compacter to lock the sand between the bricks. The joint sand we used on this project was purchased from RCP BLOCK AND BRICK but is a ANGELUS BLOCK product.
