SAN DIEGO MASONRY CONTRACTORS | STONE | KEN TIDWELL MASONRY
2323 SHELTER ISLAND DR. SAN DIEGO "THE HALFMOON INN" - The hotel owners did some additions at the HALFMOON INN on Shelter Island and DAN LEVY CONSTRUCTION was the General Contractor on this project. The material for this project was purchased at KRC ROCK and you can see their website HERE. DAN LEVY CONSTRUCTION's website is HERE.
2323 SHELTER ISLAND DR. SAN DIEGO "THE HALFMOON INN" - The Black Lava that was used on this project is a unique material that is not used very often as a building stone. Because of this, everybody at TIDWELL MASONRY enjoyed the opportunity to work on this project!
2323 SHELTER ISLAND DR. SAN DIEGO "THE HALFMOON INN" - Not only did we do the PERGOLA, but we did the low lying walls surrounding the area.
12865 CHAPARRAL RIDGE RD. CARMEL VALLEY - Our clients with this project have had us do several different projects at their home prior to this one. We built a fireplace in their backyard using the same stone as in this wall. This helped with the choice of stone when they decided to have a stone wall built in the frontyard. The stone that was used is called "ARIZONA MOSS" and was purchased from KRC ROCK AND STONE. This rock has various tans and pinks in colors and has moss growing on the surface. This makes for a finished look that suggests that the wall has been there for some time. To see more of KRC Rock's building stone, go HERE.
12865 CHAPARRAL RIDGE RD. CARMEL VALLEY - We built the walkway prior to this project using what is called "PEACOCK SLATE" and this was purchased from RCP BLOCK AND BRICK. The colors in the slate complement the stone used in building the wall.
12865 CHAPARRAL RIDGE RD. CARMEL VALLEY - This image shows a joint finish we use at TIDWELL MASONRY with alot of our stone work. We use a tool called a "Slicker" to create this finish. You can see this detail in alot of older masonry. Most Contractors seem to overlook adding these little details to hurry up and get paid. TIDWELL MASONRY feels the need to set their work apart from the others by focusing on these little details.
