SAN DIEGO "STARLITE" - STARLITE is the new bar/restaurant in SAN DIEGO from TIM MAYS, who was behind THE TURF CLUB, THE CASBAH and others ( partners include local director MATT HOYT, chef TRAVIS MURPHY and musician STEVE POLTZ ). Before opening the new restaurant they needed to do a complete remodel. They had the designers BELLS & WHISTLES help them with the project and the plans for the interior called for a rock veneer. 3175 INDIA ST. SAN DIEGO "STARLITE" - They wanted an ELDORADO, stack stone on two walls on either side of the bar/restaurant. With the overhead lighting, the manufactured stone veneer creates the desired shadows and textures that the designers were looking for. The stone veneer also helps give the room a warm feeling that other materials would not. This material was purchased at RCP BLOCK AND BRICK.

5410 BISHOPS WAY LA MESA/ GROSSMONT SUMMIT - This client lives on the GROSSMONT SUMMIT in LA MESA and wanted a rock wall built similar to the others you see around the MT. HELIX area. Having alot of the natural stone from the area in their yard, we used what they had already dug up.

5410 BISHOPS WAY LA MESA/ GROSSMONT SUMMIT - They said they wanted a simple retaining wall with some stairs and were not sure about the design. We worked on the design a little and came up with what you see in these images.

5410 BISHOPS WAY LA MESA/ GROSSMONT SUMMIT - It would have made a rough stairway using the same rock for the stairs as we used for the wall. We found a nice granite type of rock for the stairs. We think the color works great with the other rock used in the wall.
