THE CROSS ON MT. HELIX LA MESA - The Mt. Helix Park Foundation asked us if we would be willing to donate our time and help them with the new gates they are installing at the park. Another Masonry Contractor volunteered to do the block and TIDWELL MASONRY volunteered to help them finish the rock. Having lived in La Mesa most of my life, we feel the top of Mt. Helix is a special place in our community and needs to be preserved so other people will be able to enjoy it in the future.

THE CROSS ON MT. HELIX LA MESA - In the image below, you can see where the volunteers started laying the rock. They learned that this was not going to be an easy task doing it on their own. We contacted them to see if we could help. In the below image you can see what we replaced and above you will see what we built instead.

THE CROSS ON MOUNT HELIX LA MESA - In the above image Dan Timothy is rebuilding an area that we removed the rock that was done previously. We need to start off fresh in some parts of the gate entrance.

THE CROSS ON MT. HELIX LA MESA - In the above image you can see the rock that was completed. We are keeping with the design where there are large rocks popping out of the face of the wall.

THE CROSS ON MOUNT HELIX LA MESA - Tyler Ball needed to do a community project to earn the rank of EAGLE SCOUT. He contacted us to see if we would help him build a much needed drinking fountain at the MOUNT HELIX PARK. Tyler did most of the work with a little guidance from us. Tyler earned his rank of EAGLE SCOUT which helped him be accepted to CAL POLY.
